Counselling and Psychotherapy in West Kensington, Olympia, Hammersmith & Shepherd's Bush
Helping people explore who they are and how to make changes.
As a qualified counsellor/psychotherapist, my work is to listen, care and have a warm non-judgmental approach to each person as an individual, who has their own special needs. Many of us have difficulty with relationships, bereavement, stress, anger management and other psychological and emotional problems at some point in our lives. By talking to someone who is outside your circle of family and friends, you can be open about your feelings towards yourself and others. I can then reflect back to you what is happening and between us we can work on changing how you feel about yourself and others. My training is integrative, which means I use a variety of approaches in counselling and psychotherapy, therefore each person receives tailor-made help. I have been practicing for 14 years and have a special interest in helping people who have become anxious, depressed, have mood swings or relationship difficulties or have been abused by others. I offer open ended or short term therapy. Working with me means that you will receive a unique plan of integrated counselling and psychotherapy tailored to your individual circumstances to help you live your life more fully. I provide a calm, empathic environment where I work with individuals on an open-ended or time-limited scale.
How do you know if you need professional help?
Psychotherapy and counselling will help you make the changes you want. As your therapist, I will listen carefully without judgement and won’t tell you what to do. I will help you find your own way forwards by using all the skills I have as an integrative psychotherapist and counsellor.

My Practice as a Counsellor in Kensington
I'm available to meet people during the day and some evenings. Busy lives sometimes make it difficult to find the space to come to therapy so I offer a wide range of times at which I can see people.
I have helped people in my private practice for more than 14 years. West Kensington and Olympia are diverse communities and so I have gained an enormous wealth of knowledge from practicing in this area. Working privately means that I can create a unique plan for each person, as every person is different and special. I also work with a charity that concentrates on young people, teens and adolescents. So often psychological damage begins when we are young and working with adolescents gives me deep insight into how problems arise and so I am better able to understand how to heal people.

Different Psychological and Emotional Issues
If your body is in pain, a visit to the doctor usually involves an examination and some tests. Then treatment is prescribed. Measuring pain and unhappiness in your heart and mind is rather more difficult. Psychotherapy aims to find the pain and hurt and then discover a way of improving it and making things better. We now know that well delivered psychotherapy will have the same effect on the mind as anti-depressant medication. MRI scans can prove this fact. My practice in Kensington and Olympia has allowed me to develop my skills so I can help people in this way too.
